Boston Globe - Cambridge condo blends contemporary and traditional

The design of this spacious Cambridge condominium was a marriage of two distinct styles, says Michael Ferzoco, principal of Eleven Interiors, who was called in to tailor the look for the homeowners, a young professional couple.

“The husband is European and his taste is super contemporary, very much influenced by his upbringing,” says Ferzoco. The wife, who hails from Cambridge, has a more traditional sensibility. “It’s their first home. We tried to keep it light, fun, and stylish, and cost-effective.”

The upper-level loft opens onto a roof deck and has a stunning wall of windows that filters a tremendous amount of natural light down into the main level’s open living, kitchen, and dining space.

“The place was so bright that we painted the walls a light gray to tone it down a little bit,” says Ferzoco. Custom drapes in a darker gray screen the windows in the living area.
